Jay Alan Babcock spins fantasies from his affection for lost things. Old yearbooks, discarded food packaging, dripped housepaint — all are opportunities to tease out beauty where you didn’t see it before. A graduate of Washington University School of Fine Arts, he creates paintings, sculptures, collages, and photo-based artworks, whatever the subject at hand and materials require. His day job is graphic design and prepress production for a printing company in the St. Louis area.
