i made a lot of digital art in the 2010s (you might remember conferencecall.biz) but now i paint and draw. i usually spend a lot of time using palette knives to scrape down and build back up, adjusting shapes and textures over and over. while doing so, i’m often thinking about color relationships, texture, and how the viewer’s eye might be led around the composition.
